This layer contains the most current locations and up-to-date non-spatial attributes for Kentucky's Public, K-12 Schools. The Front Door project implemented by the Kentucky Department of Education allowed school teams to capture the geographic coordinates digitally using The Commonwealth Map. Following data validation, the Kentucky Division of Geographic Information utilizes this layer in the mapping services it provides to the communities.
To document the current location of K-12 Public Schools in Kentucky and to reference basic attribute data concerning those facilities.
